Workshop for Students: Introducing GIFT

As a part of the series, CETL has arranged its 6th and last certificate workshop titled “Introducing GIFT” on Saturday, 2nd October 2021 from 7:15pm to 8:15pm. Ms. Arifa Rahman, Assistant Professor- CETL, Interns, and nearly 50 students were actively present at the session. Information about the GIFT Project, its work area, as well as the scholarship opportunities for GIFT students were discussed.

In the main segment of the workshop, the participants were enlightened about various activities of GIFT including the admission process, modules, and projects.

The workshop was facilitated by Md. Hafiz Sikder, research assistant and event management intern of CETL. Md. Hafiz Sikder is an engineering student currently pursuing his BSc from the Department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh. He has been working at CETL since 2020 as a research assistant and event management intern. He has been awarded the Brightest Minds Scholarship 2 times for his contribution to the GIFT Project.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, another facilitator Ms. Halima Mim could not join the session but she has sent her positive thoughts to the aspiring students.

A lively conversation between the facilitator and the participants brought out the unspoken desires of Green University students to transform their society. Students were very enthusiastic to join the GIFT project and become a transformer of themselves and rest. At the end of the session, the participants clarified their queries regarding GIFT from the facilitator. A high rating from the participants and their best wishes for CETL makes the whole workshop series a success.
