Workshop for Students: "Viva 360: Prepare and Perform"


CETL, GUB has arranged its 5th workshop of the session titled "Viva 360:  Prepare and Perform" on Friday, 03 September 2021 from 7:15 to 8:15, as a part of the series workshop. Director of CETL, lead facilitators of CETL, Interns, and 100 participants were present at the workshop. Tips and tricks to face any viva voce were discussed in this workshop.

The workshop was facilitated by Ms. Fairooz Saiyara, who is pursuing her bachelor's degree at the Department of English, GUB. She is one of the high scorers in GUB online assessments, apart from offering voluntary services to our University. She is one of the high scorers in GUB online assessments, apart from offering voluntary services to our University, she's been working at CETL as a Content Development Intern and Social Media Manager. Her paper presentation at a recent seminar on John Keats at the Dept. of English has earned her huge appreciation from a scholarly audience. In her current research project, she is working with Mr. Ashik Istiak, Senior Lecturer, Dept. of English, GUB, to observe Sufi elements in selected Romantic literature. And another facilitator Md. Hafiz Sikder who is an engineering student currently pursuing his BSc in EEE from the department of EEE, Green University of Bangladesh. He has been working in  CETL since 2020 as a research assistant and event management intern. He has been awarded the Brightest Minds Scholarship 2 times for his contribution to the CETL. He was the honorary resource person for the BYFC training program in 2019. He has served as the Cultural Secretary for EEE Club and Dance Related Secretary for Cultural club parallelly for consecutive 2 years. He is one of the Ashar Alo Scholarship winners for his participation in the GIFT Project. He wants to be a robotics expert as well as an educationist in the near future. 



The facilitators Md. Hafiz Sikder, research assistant and event management intern of CETL, and Fairooz Saiyara, Content Development intern of CETL shared their experience along with some professional hacks on viva voce. Internship supervisor Ms. Arifa Rahman said, being positive towards peer learning and learning new things. The director of CETL highlighted in his concluding comments that learning the content and being prepared are the key factors for achieving success in viva.
