As part of the CETL organized certificate workshop series for students, the fourth episode on "How to Work on a Thesis" took place on 29 August 2021, at 7:15 pm. Over a hundred aspiring students signed up and actively participated in the session.

The workshop was jointly facilitated by Ms. Suraiya Akhter, CETL Website Development Intern, and Mr. Nazmul Islam Naeem, CETL Intern for Assisting in Research. Ms. Akhter has recently graduated from the Department of CSE, GUB, and joined there as a Junior Department Coordination Officer. On the other hand, Mr. Islam is a fresh graduate from the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, GUB. Both of them have a keen interest in scholarly endeavors which immensely inspired the workshop participants.

The session was hosted by Fairooz Saiyara, CETL Intern. At her request, Mr. Hasan Al Zubayer Rony, Assistant Professor, CETL, Green Business School, graced the first segment of the session and enlightened the students about the significance of working on a thesis paper.

The participants and facilitators intimately discussed the methods and challenges one faces during a research project and boosted their motivation and confidence to take on the challenges. At the end of the session, Ms. Arifa Rahman, Assistant Professor, CETL, Green Business School, delivered a remarkable speech on the importance of research and encouraged the students to continue participating in research activities.

Over 90% of participants rated the session highly on a linear scale from 1 to 5. More than 100 participants actively took part in the workshop. In a word, students being benefited and inspired during a difficult pandemic situation is what makes the initiative a success. The honorable Director of CETL, Dr. ASM Shihavuddin has sent his best wishes to every individual connected to the project.
